VoIP India?

One the same day I come across the following three different news item.

• From RedHerring: Standalone VoIP business may not be viable any more in US.
• JajahIndia – Jajah “click to call” service has finally set foot in India (via labnol)
• Fring launches Fring India blog

Am I being apophenic or there is relationship among them. In India unlike in US I think patents/lawsuits might not break the neck of this Industry but instead regulation might not give enough air to breathe to survive.  It was’nt long ago when Government came calling to cease skype & simillar service usage in BPO’s & KPO’s.

Would be interesting to read commentary on this from someone who is versed with Indian legal/political landscape of this.
