Project management includes a lot of things , project planning and estimation,scope management, risk management, issue management,communication management, people management. (This is the hardest part according to me)
It is more of an art than science. It is the basic task of converting a given estimate into a well executable plan.
People Management. ( The hardest part )
– The biggest mistake that PM’s can make is treat people as a linear model/resource in the plan which if turns out to be wrong can effectively turn things upside down.
– Never impose work on anyone. It’s a team and be a part of the team. Empower people and which enables member of team taking up accountability it becomes an altogether different ball game .
